The Dept of Transportation just redflagged you in their database and will be sending plain clothesed agents to examine your odometer very soon. I would guess it's somewhere in the speedo itself, but I'm sure some Vette brainiac will answer soon enough with a much more intelligent answer than mine.

If it's the mechanical ODO like my old 86, it is in the ODO itself. My 96 is in the CCM.
'90 to '96 is stored in the "Central Control Module" (CCM) which resides in the center of the dash board. It looks like a early C4 ECU and controls security, interior illumination, cluster functions, I *think* it plays a role in climate control (not 100% sure about that) and talks to the ECU among other things. It also stores the mileage.
What'd I tell ya Troy. It was just a matter of time before a Vette Brainiac came along with the right answer. Brian's a pretty smart guy, I'd listen to him.
