Stalling corvette - PLEASE HELP!
My '85 corvette is acting up on me. At idle, the oil pressure stays around 30 psi. Put it in reverse, the oil pressure drops down to around 25, and stays there in drive. But when I start to accelerate, the psi drops real low, 10,8,7, at 6 it stalls right out. Goosing the throttle prevents it from stalling right away, but it stalls out once it hits idle. It started doing this after I let it sit for awhile. All day though the engine was running fine, but the oil pressure would drop to 8-6 psi, tachometer would read 0 around a tight turn or sudden stop. It didn't stall out then.
Could the oil pump be doing this, or is it something else?
I'm stuck in springfield, MO doing a Route 66 road trip. Would really like to keep going and not have to pack it in!

get any service engine soon lights? Since it dies and sometimes the tach goes out, I would start with checking the distributor... is the oil pressure dropping due to engine trying to die?
