Automatic Shift Points
I had the occasion last weekend to have to drive on a gravel road, with a steep incline/decline. I shifted the auto tranny into 1st gear. (Had never done that before). No problems. However, now on the street/highway, it seems that my shift points are higher. It used to shift from 1st to 2nd at about 12-15 mph, now it shifts from 1st to 2nd at about 23-25 mph with almost 3000 rpm's. 2nd to 3rd is still about the same at 32-35 mph. If I take it to my mechanic, am I looking at major problems, $$$? Anyone else ever have this issue? The car's an '85 L98 Z51.
