I want to get these wheels but I do not want to pay 189 for shipping because I live close to dallas and can get them myself. How do I get ahold of the seller? I asked him a question bout sipping, but he has not responded back
Looks like the shipping is a rip off. Wheels don't cost that much to ship in the US. Only way I know is to contact him through the "ask seller a question" and wait for him to return the message.
Looks like I found a phone number:
Tel: 214-358-0937 or 214-263-8117
Fax: 214-351-0083

I hate it when E-bay sellers try to rip you off with their trumped up shipping charges. It has turned me off to many items I would have purchased otherwise.
I missed the "no local pickup" part. He is making his money in the shipping as for $325 for the wheels is a fair deal. The shipping in the US should be half of what he wants.
Might be able to talk him into picking them up, but??????

This seller (Discountrim/Alex Chang) definitely ships out of Texas. I've bought from him and he supplied me with FedEx tracking details. From my experience, he only answers questions that suit him. I asked about USPS shipping but he wouldn't respond.
E Bay has been trying to stop the out of reason shipping charges, I have shipped cars for less that what they want to ship the wheels. My son shipped his Ford truck to Korea for $800.00. I would report them to eBay.
ebay sellers tend to sell for ridiculously low price then recoup with the shipping cost. You have to look at the overall picture. The price for the wheels even with shipping seems reasonable to me.
You have to look at it as the "overall cost" when shopping around.
For instance:
Item #1 = $50
Shipping = $100
Item #2 = $100
Shipping = $50
SAME DANG PRICE.
The guy has to make his money somehow.
You will find that wheels are all like that on ebay for brand new wheels.

NOW that aside... since you live in the same area, I would certainly try to drive over and get them since you are paying $xx for the item and don't need the stated shipping. I believe there is some "ebay legal" recourse to hold that up or something if he gives you trouble.
As far as I know, they only way is via the "ask seller a question" to get a hold of them

I don't know if they have a black cap, but I would also like it to be black. I am going to see how much someone would charge me to paint the caps black
Yeah Thats True Hey man I seen the all black wheels on ebay with the black middle cap and they were $385 with $89 shipping awhile back now there gone whats up with that They were 17/18's I think oh well But I will be getting these wheels soon cant wait...

I see this all the time on ebay... I'm quite surprised he didn't sell them for 99 cents.
So here is your ebay lesson for today....
Let say for example the price he wants (his orginal selling price) is $514 ($325 + $189sh).
The seller would have been alot better off to say the price was $.99 ($.99 + $513.01sh).... The reason is the fee (I listed below). If a item sells for 99 cents you hardly pay anything in fees (Insertion & Final Value).
THEN, AND MOST OF ALL, suppose BlackVette00 decides that he really doesn't like them. He, sends the wheels back, and guess what this guy does, he returns his money which is only 99 cent. No one ever returns shipping and handling fees. So BlackVette00 is out $513.01. That's why you have to be extremely careful. Read the ad's carefully!
**********THESE ARE THE EBAY FEES *****************
The reason is simple, he is saving a bundle on fees...
Insertion Fees
Starting or Reserve Price
Insertion Fee
$0.01 - $0.99 = $0.20
$1.00 - $9.99 = $0.40
$10.00 - $24.99 = $0.60
$25.00 - $49.99 = $1.20
$50.00 - $199.99 = $2.40
$200.00 - $499.99 = $3.60
$500.00 or more = $4.80
then
Final Value Fees Closing Price
Final Value Fee
Item not sold = No Fee
$0.01 - $25.00 = 5.25% of the closing value
$25.01 - $1,000.00 = 5.25% of the initial $25.00 ($1.31), plus 3.25%
of the remaining closing value balance ($25.01 to $1,000.00)
Equal to or Over $1000.01 = 5.25% of the initial $25.00 ($1.31), plus 3.25% of the initial $25.01 - $1,000.00 ($31.69), plus 1.50% of the remaining closing value balance ($1000.01 - closing value)
