I would love to do this, as well as to my shifter piece and the front center piece of my dash. Where would I go to pay a professional to do something like this?
These and many more pieces are all covered with leather, some other pieces were done with Alcantara. More pictures in thread link under my sig.
Yeah but don't you live in one of those wacky European places where that stuff is widely available? And for that low of a price, I don't even know what to say about that! I wouldn't know where to start looking here in the states for work of that level of fine quality.
Quart of gas: $1.7
Pint of Coke: $3
Big Mac $5.05
C4 Vettes: $30K+
C6 Vettes: $150K
Speeding tickets: no upper limit, I think highest I've heard of: $500K

Hehe our American friends here dont know how lucky they are
Ill see your above prices and raise you...
Do you just glue down the suede or what? Easily done by a amateur or to look good, would it be better to just pay someone a $hit load of money to do it in about 15 minutes?
Blade, heheh...I can feel your pain. You have that wrong side steering thing working against you and low number of cars. We have lots of cars and no expensive mandatory mods (only lights must be E-approved) but crazy goverment taxes raise the prices to roof. Even the gas price is 75%+ tax.
Corn Flakes: its easy for amateur to do as long as
1. you can clean all grease and silicone off the panels
2. the material you are using stretches a bit so you can cover the pieces without cutting visible seams into it
3. you can find a good glue that works with your material and the panels
4. glue doesn't fully dry but stays flexible over time
I've not gotten to the pillars or halo or door panels yet.. those are coming soon.
I did my entire dash so far:
Spent 24 hrs and about $30 in materials.
I forgot that you were the one that did that. I've been setting up to copycat your work on my '96 for several months now, but I really don't know what I'm doing so hopefully I can find someone else to upholster the 2 pieces I want done. I don't know where to find someone that does that though.
