Default Wheel questions...

I've been thinking about getting new wheels for my Lt4.

Now, my absolute hands down favs are Fikse FM5's.. I love those things soo much.. but I don't have anywhere near the $$$ for a set.

My others I like are GS replicas, I think they would look sharp on a Polo car..

But I have a set of PERFECT OEM speedlines sitting in my shed off a 12,000 mile car..

I dunno what to do!

Put the speedlines on? Sell them and buy GS replicas? Someone post an alternative to FM5's in 9.5-11 sizes for me to go get..

I'm confuzzled!!

It took me a long time to find the right wheels. I must of photo chopped all different rims. I found something I like.

I was in the same boat as you, Mek, when I got my C4: the wheels I really liked, in the sizes and finish I really wanted, were $4000.
I knew that if I bought ZR-1's or Y2K's for $600, that I'd always still want what I really wanted!!
So I bit the bullet and got the HRE's. I've never regretted it, knowing that the car has the exact wheels that I wanted.

My advice:
Save your dollars. Give up lunches if you have to. Get the FM5's. Be done with the wheel thing. If you don't, you'll always be drooling over pictures and wishing, rather than drooling over your own car and enjoying.

You make a good point. But at this point my vette need so much its gonna be hard to save that much without spending it in other places (paint, needed badly, carpet, and I REALLY want to get into the engine and squeeze out some more on this LT4)

I had a plan to get a loan to do all the stuff listed there, maybe after that I'll start rubbing some pennies together till the FM5's are mounted, and I can giggle like a little girl when I look at my car.
