Best looking C4

Paul Dehnert says of his twin-turbo ZR1. With 850 horsepower at the flywheel and 742 pound-feet of torque delivered to the rear wheels, is that any surprise?

On the C3 side, the silver bumper cars are more desired than the rubber bumper cars...
Is there something like that in the C4 world?
Round brake lights vs squarte ones ???
Not that I am shopping for a C4... It's a question out of curiousity.
And of course I love all vettes.

You basically have two choices. Its purely a matter of taste.. i'd say its a 50/50 opinion around here.
Early C4 - more angled front and rear bumper, round tail lights
Late C4 - more rounded front and rear bumper, square tail lights
The dash, seats and door panels are both different as is the motor.
everything else is pretty much the same car.
If you like one, but not the other, there was also the the transition years from 90-91 I believe.

In my opinion, the best looking C4 is a 1995 ZR1. I love that wide butt. My '96 Collector Edition convertible is pretty darn sexy, too.

Definitely 91-96 Corvette
Nailing down the actual year is a very personal thing, but I say '91-'96 for a few reasons. First the body protective strip can be painted. The older C4s have a black protective body strip that can NOT be painted and this in my opinion ruins the clean look, especially on custom paint jobs. Plus after 1991 all C4 Corvettes had the squarish tail lights that were once unique to the ZR1. The interior is also MUCH nicer in the later C4s with wrap around leather cockpit.
I would also add that you should get a 6-speed. No real sports car enthusiast would drive an automatic because you not only get better gas mileage but you have more control of the power under the hood.
This is a fully loaded 1991 6-speed with black leather interior. It was originally black but is now Cyber Grey Metallic and has a C4R rear wing spoiler and Grand Am style fender flares with extensions (which were normally only installed in a select few Grand Ams being delivered overseas). It gets 30 MPG in 6th gear doing 75mph with cruise control engaged.
