Default My turn for problem

Went to pick up sister today. Started my 92 up and let it idle for about a minute. Put car in reverse and car dies and am unable to restart with RPM gauge going wild. Decide to use my other vette to pick up sister. Come back two hours later and try again and it starts like nothing was ever wrong. Try to pull codes and there was none.
What happen and what should I check?

Well my problem re-appeared. Did some testing and noticed the engine shuts down when hits 200 degrees. I can let it sit for an hour and it will restart and runs fine but once it hits 200 degrees it shuts down.

I would consider checking the CTS in the waterpump since it's temperature related. Done any work in that area lately or any other area?

ICM?
Coil?

Just talk to the mechanic and he said both my fans are conking out.
They work intermittantly. Going to have him replace both fans, put in
a lower thermostat, and burn another chip for the thermostat.

......you may want to try and hard wire the fans on for a day or so and see if the fans crap ouit on you...why replace them if they are working?
