It's a fuse holder..It should pop open and a fuse s/b inside..Where does the wire go..It appears to go toward the engine..Trace her down and let us know
One last look at pics and the second one is a little blurry..If it goes nowhere my guess it was for an aftermarket radio,radar dect..and such
