What problem has left you stranded? What kind of pickle did it leave you in and how did you get out of it?

Fuel pump on my old L98 car. Ran real crappy for a minute, managed to get on a side street and it died. Called AAA and waited.....I did have a gauge with me so I figured it out pretty quick. 'Bout 15 minutes later it fired up (cooled off I guess) and got me a few blocks, then did the same thing again. Finallyg got it towed home as I didnt want to chance getting stuck on a main road (these arent real easy to push) , picked up an Airtex pump at Autozone for about $89 and a new relay "just in case" and never had a problem.

Umm lets see where should I start.....Bearing rod went out, transmission seal blew out, flat tire, top radiator hose blew out, serpentine belt was not installed correctly when my waterpump was replaced, battery died because of a bad cell, alternator went out, fuel pump left me stranded at home. Need I go on with all my other problems?

Stater enable relay. Left me stranded at a parking lot, just as I was heading for a date with a chick. So I ended up missing out.

I think that was a sign. Something bad might have been waiting with the chick. So how did she take it? Dumped you?

I had never met her before. Blind date, but we knew what they both looked liked, which is why we agreed to meet. My friend and I where going to hook up with her and her friend at a theater there that night. His car just so happened to be out of commission at the time when my relay took a dump just as we jumped in to leave. The timing was unreal. Poor chicks must have been waiting outside for us, only for no one to show up. We where too embarrased to have to admit what happened, so we did not talk to them again. Still we missed out thanks to a $17 relay with a mind of it's own.

clutch, alternator, battery. (the alternator was fun because the car would randomly die and I'd have to wait 30 min before it came back I did that twice in one night, it was fun times)

It Was Alternator 50 Miles From Home, Towed To Repairs Shop, Hours Later On The Road Home.
Next Was A Fuel Pump On Sunday Morning 900 Miles From Home. Towed To A Dealership In The Middle Of No Where, Took A Hotel For The Night.
What A Trip That Turned Out.

Ah, I have another. Pick up coil inside the dist. Engine just shut off on me going 55MPH. Cranked but would not start.

Those are the only two things that have left me stranded. The starter enable relay, and the pick up coil.

It's not a bad idea to carry a spare fuel pump and sepentine belt in the cargo area, along with the necessary tools.

HOLY KRAP! Getting stranded that many times could drive one to go buy a rice-burner!

First time was a water pump which pukes all over the opti...AAA tow..then my ECM went south on the way to the NCRS show in Orlando...got home in "limp home mode" but had to be towed out of my garage by AAA...next it was at the track...I turned my spider gears to chicklets when I launched at the drag strip...AAA towed me right from the track 40' from teh starting line...lol...

I've had a couple of other issues but they have not left me stranded...come to think of it, it's been almost 4 years since I have broke down and that covers 25,000 miles and amost 800 passes at the drag strip...woot!

Im just telling it like it is. Thats not including the times it's been stranded in my driveway. People don't believe me until I show them the repair bills and the few times it happened when someone was around. Rice burners are reliable but I like my old Piece of **** vette over a new SRT-4 or Honda. Since we are on topic I will go ahead and start naming the rest of it. I have had to replace: Radiator, waterpump, starter, fuel pump relay, fuel pump, valve cover gaskets, rotors, 3 tires, one brakelight, both headlights, both foglights, both park lights, serpentine belt, battery, alternator, windshield wiper motor, coolant over flow tank. See what I mean. Things just break. People say I push it to hard but I know others beat the pi$$ outta theres daily. People may call this out as . If it wasn't me that it happened to, I'd think it was lies to. It's not. Few other things that have been repaired but just minor stuff. Luckily, the fuel injectors and electrical sensors under the hood have NOT gone out. Hoping it all stays together for a long long time.

It should stay together after all that, and I was just kidding about the rice-burner thing (they make an ok 2nd car). I just noticed my washer bottle leaking if I fill it more than 1/2 way but that's not likely to leave me stranded somewhere.

Last winter,
about midnight,
25 degrees out,
altenator went out.
I thought that I could make it home but I didn't .
No heavy jacket with me.
40 minutes later my little girl showed up and we charged the battery with jumper cables, then left the car at a nearby Lowes overnight.

Ignition control module failed, car died, no sputter, no misfire, just like you switched it off. I was on a curvy two lane, going maybe 40mph, and the car just coasted to a stop in the road. Had to push it out.

Second time, a coolant hose blew and made a big steamy mess about 1/4 away from work. I made it to the parking lot at work though.

Both times, AA came and towed me, once to the dealer, once back home. AA is a MUST for C4 owners!
