C4 of Year Winner (appearance mods) 2019
I've seen links posted from time-to-time on this forum.
It's called the "Vettarosa" and it's made by Vanacor's in New Orleans. The kit costs $3K. I suppose that's cheap if you can't afford the real thing.....
Not sure where the seller came up with ZMC?
The kit on the yellow vette isn't the same thing, but's it's sold by the same company. It has testarosa door skins with a "Greenwood" style ground effects kit.
A guy just down the street from me has a Testarossa. It's one of my least favorite Ferrari's but it's still a beautiful car. That thing is a complete disaster. I'd be embarrassed to drive down the street in a car with cheesy bodywork glued on to make it look like a car it's not. But, to each their own.
I shed tears at the sight of that. I could ALMOST understand someone putting a TR body kit on, if they were a Ferrari fan, not a Vette fan, and couldnt afford a real one so they used it as a donor car.
However, that thing is a disgrace to all makes and models. There are a lot of really nice and clean looking kit cars out there, but that thing just looks hideous in every aspect. Even someone who didnt care about Corvettes or Ferraris would disgusted by that.....thing.

I've driven a TR's before. They are actually on he cheaper end of ferrari's. You can get them from 40-80k depending on type (TR vs 512TR, age and condition).
and then sink another $15k on deferred maintenance... not my cup of tea.
ive read that Sony Crockett ,yes yes the miami vice guy remember ?
the ferrari daytona they had the black one was a modified Vette !
is it true ?
on that show, both ferrari's were kits. At least the ones they drove.
The Daytona was a C3. No question.
The TR... my memory is fuzzy from an article I read at the time... but, IIRC, it was a TR body, but with a pantera drivetrain and an automatic. Someone confirm this?
