Someone I work with asked me why my hatchback glass has all those blotchy marks. I'm referring to those greenish/blue marks that show up in the sun when viewed from a certain angle. I think it has something to do with the laminating process. Anyone know for sure?
I not positive what you are refering to, but if you're basically talking about spots, most safety glass have them. I believe its the plastic in between, but I'm not sure. If you wear polarized sunglasses, you'll see it a lot till you get use to them.
You mean the "leopard print" glass? :D I have that also. What is really cool with polarized sunglasses is to look up through your glass top. It is all different colors where the wind is hitting it and changing the temp.
I also have it. At first I thought it was some sort of really non-functional window tint. I dont know how the plastic helps anything though, when my 1991 got rear-ended the hatch glass exploded all over my interior.

Yes, but it probably exploded in little tiny pieces by design. If it didn't have the protection built in, there's no telling what sizes pieces might have been trying to cut you up! :mad  :mad
