I am working on replacing my ujoints.ok heres the ? I have did everything all the way to removing the camber bolt I got the nut off and cant get the comber bolt out cause it hits my exhaust pipe any of you guys have any problems with this its borla exhaust...ALso how the heck do you get those strap bolts out do i need at leat 12 inchs of extensions?
I don't know how a Borla exhaust is shaped, but if it's in the way of the camber bolt and you don't want to drop the exhaust, try removing the bolt at the other end at the knuckle.
Yes, if you are removing the inner strap bolts from the top, while sitting in front of the rotor, you'll need about 18" of extensions. Or you can do them from under the car w/o any extensions. You may just have to change the angle of the shaft by raising the knuckle (safely, of course - not sure how you have the car supported). And don't put a jack under the half-shaft to raise it.
Ok after a long time and alot of dirt and oil I got both halfshafts out last night wow what a job, At least all the hard work is done. Im cleaning all the straps and bolts does anyone know of something good to clean them with? So far I have them sittin in a cup of Oxy clean
