Default Corsa experience?

I am considering installing a Corsa exhaust on my 1993 stock LT1 six speed. I just want the better sound at idle and when running up through the gears. I definently do not want any droning at cruise and would like it to be not much more noticable than stock. Has anyone used the Corsa RSC system which supposedly offers this? What are your real experiences?

A lot of guys here have the system and swear by it. I don't have it but I've heard it and it sounds really nice. Use the search function tons of information will come up about it. This topic comes up all the time.

Given that, then Corsa is your choice if you're willing to spend the money. I got mine used, so it was easier to swallow.

Idle is a bit louder than stock, but opinions vary greatly on the idle sound itself. Mine is no louder than stock on the highway, and driving around town, it sounds nice but not loud. It does open up nicely with a great sound when running up through the gears. Overall, I actually wish it were a touch louder.

Installation is cake. The hardest part is getting the stock parts off. I did encounter a couple issues on mine that would likely not have been a problem had I purchased a new system.

If I wasnt running Billy Boats, I would be running CORSAs. You wont regret a Corsa purchase. I love my B&Bs especially when they came with the car when I bought it. Based upon your post get the Corsas

I put mine on in 2005 (almost two years ago) and they are everything they say. They are pricey, but the sound good and no drone.

Corsa works exactly as advertised and is high quality. I have a largely stock LT1 and I like my system -- and because it was a gift I cannot complain!

BUT, it's a lotta $$$$$. I wonder if eliminators and some sound deadener would serve the same purpose -- also, from a performance/sound/cost standpoint, what about headers and a stock exhaust? I've seen some posts (do a search) that suggest this may be a better approach.

Thanks for all the replies so far. It will be a few months until I can swing it, but my plans are to do so. I'll then be able to join the ranks of those with personal Corsa experience.

It's not a lot of money compared to the B&B.

Easy install and great sound, but not loud enough when the rest of the car is stock.

Top quality and great sound, the only down side as pointed out is the price, but you won't be disappointed.

I put my Corsa on my 93' 2 years ago and I love it! The sound is loud enough on the outside but just slightly louder than stock on the inside. I used the 10% off and free shipping at Carlisle. You won't be sorry.

There is no question that Corsa is resonance free, but it is very quiet otherwise GM dealers wouldn't install them. I installed the Corsa catback on a friends 94 and it was a nice easy bolt on and the quality was superb. But for me it was too quiet and I couldn't get over the inside tips not flowing. I put the 3" B&B catback on mine and it too was high quality and easily bolted on. I personally like the tips on the B&B better. The B&B was also quieter than I was expecting, but a little louder than the Corsa. My B&B is a newer version and it doesn't have much resonance. The B&B is a deep sound. If you work at it you can get some resonance like cruising at 55-60 in 6th gear.
