hi there all,
i proberely should asking this question in the c5 & c6 section,but i never go over there.
i was just curiuos to see what rear end ratios the c5 & c6 vettes in manuals come equiped with please ?
im just comparing them to what the c4 manuals can come in thats all.
any ideas please guys

I thought most came with 3.42

2.73 and 3.15 for autos, not sure about the manuals. I imagine its a little lower like Vader posted.

I think just for the 6-speeds though.

All C5 and C6 6 speeds have a 3.42 gear ratio.

thanks alot for your replys and info on the c5 & c6 ratios.
i was just curious thats all, and i didnt want to go sucking up to the c5/c6 guys.
so they must have good top speeds then those new vettes ..

Actually, the lower the rear axle ratio (higher number), the lower the top speed for any given RPM. Remember that song "Hot Rod Lincoln"....." 'sakes alive, I shoved it down into overdrive!"

what i was thinking was that if i were to go 3.90 or 4.10 ratio with my 8 t/b engine that a newer c5 or c6 ratio wise would have more top end than me thats all!
