I am hearing a squeak in my '90 Vert from 0 - 20 MPH, increasing as I go faster. Then at around 15-20 MPH it disappears. I have a feeling that it is the Speedometer Cable. Can you disconnect the cable from the dash cluster and spray some White Lithium Grease in it? Also, when I slow to a stop, it takes a couple seconds for the Speedo to go from 2 MPH to 0. This is new also.

 

Do 90's really have mechanical speedometers?

 

No cable on a C4.

 

Must be something else. Any ideas?
