84 Keyless entry system

84 Keyless entry system
My keyless entry just stopped working yesterday. Both my fobs do nothing. Was the Keyless entry system stock on 84's, and if so, where is the receiver located? Any suggestions?

Soultion buy another system.

Could be anywhere Id chase the battery leads to the system if it has them. Id imagine you would have seen it if it was under the hood so im guessing behind the dash somewhere or maybe under one of the seats.

My 84 "HAD" a key-less system, the factory system and the ( last owners ) aftermarket alarm hated each other - always had problems 
. One day I looked under the dash - found it and riped it out ( faster than a drum stick outta da mother-n-laws mouth ). And don't forget when you lock the doors from either the inside buttons or the key outside ( when you get back in ) "YOU MUST USE THE KEY OUTSIDE TO DISARM THE 84 FACTORY ALARM"
Failing to do this cost me $265 for towing and $125 to my "EX-MECHANIC" to ---- are ya ready ----------- cut one wire on the drivers door lock.
