When I was in high school (graduated in 1973) on the east side of Detroit, Gratiot Ave was another place to be and be seen if you had a muscle car. I saw some incredible cars and races on both Gratiot and Woodward.
If you can make it to Detroit in August, the Woodward Dream Cruise is an awesome event. My daughter/son-in-law used to live in Pontiac. He had a 1968 (?) Charger retro-rod. I would go out to see them for this event. Hundreds (if not thousands) of muscle cars, street rods, retro-rods, custom cars of every make, model and year. Unbelievable!!!!
