Code 36 (1993)
My mechanic who is not a Vette pro plugged it up and said I have a Code 36 for the Check Engine light....He never worked on a Vette Dist. and didn't want to experiment....how serious is this code?

I believe your optispark has gone to opti heaven. Assuming the 36 code for a 93 is the same as for a 95 then it is high resolution failure in the optispark. There are a few other checks in the FSM to verify it is the opti and not a wiring or ECM failure, but optispark is about 99% sure.
