'86 conv -security system problem-wont start
Car wont start. Changed battery and the security system activated and wont let me start the car. Dont have a owner's manual with car,
so I cant look there for help. Need procedure for de-activating the
security system to start the car. Thanks for your help!

Never had that problem after replacing a battery.
Is the SECURITY light on the DIC lit? Steady or flashing?
Try locking the doors with the door lock switch while the door is open (steady light), close the door, and then unlock the door with the key.
