Has anyone replaced or paid someone to replace a windshield on a C4 vert. I am asking because my brother works for a glass company. He doesnt do the automotive side but the two guys that do really do not want to do the job replacing mine. Are the C4 verts prone to problems as far as windshield frame bending easy.
If you tell me where in the country you live I could set you up with a few glass companies. There are many pros out there and they are NOT franchises. Fill in your profile and you will get alot more help.

Sounds like they have done or heard about C4's before. They are not hard to do if you know how and take your time. The problem is most places do not know how and are in too much of a hurry to do it right. A poor job will cause leaks almost every time. Make sure you find someone who has done them before and if you can check with the people they did the work for. Or better yet find someone local with a C4 that has had theres done and is happy with it and go to the same place.

If you have glass insurance, just bring it to a decent shop that does this all day long. They will charge your insurance company according to the difficulty, and be stuck fixing it it leaks.
Don't go for the cheapest quote. Do not use a mobile glass service. Those guys are just in a rush to finish a job and go onto the next. Use quailty weatherstrip and hire someone who's actually done C4's before. If you don't you'll be sorry.

Just because they might be stuck fixing it if it leaks, does not mean you would want to let them keep working on your car.
CentralCoaster had some pretty good threads on this subject awhile back, maybe he'll chime in here.
