I was your age not so long ago and YES I have done my share of drag racing (8 years of it) and it was fun. I even worked at the local dragstrip for 2 summers. I dont think that you are immature, I think that you will learn as you get older that there are ALOT more important things in life other than if your car is fasteer than the next. I have found auto-X more challenging and more active and this is why I like doing it.
I have found that the difference between auto-X and drag racing is the people. Most drag strips are full of my car is better than your car kids and blue color workers and alot of cars that are not in the best of shape.(not that there is anything wrong with that, just using it as a reference). You see more high end cars and doctors and professional types at the suto-X races. Not that there is anything wrong with either one BUT i really dont care if somebodys car is faster than mine in the 1/4 mile. As for the girl scouts, I have never seen any there BUT if they do I hope that they have cookies for sale!

If you don't win it'll be your own fault. As far as sex in a vette, guess as you get older you get more creative, If a 48 year old woman can be limber enough, then someone your age should not have a problem

ohh boyy...first off... Larry 5 coupe u soud like my english teacher drilling me on my english.....i thought comming here would be a safe haven for me not being corrected on all that..lol...second yes i think 13.8 is horrible for my car. i hope atleast with all those minor mods i have i should do better than that, and third...lol wow if ur 48 year old lady can bend and twist into ur vette than yes there must be something wrong with my old lady. but than again shoving here in my car to get a quick one isnt my way of being a gentle man but it might be something on the wild side i might consider. im thinking of cuffing her hands to the shift **** what do u guys think..atleast ill win on that thought cause my buddy doesnt have a girl friend

If the TA can really run a 13.6 you are beat. A nearly stock C4 runs 13.8's all day and that is with a pro driver. (not knocking your driving ability at all). Just like everyone else said. Line em up and let the numbers at the end of the track do the talking!

she knows what car to ride home in wether i win or loose. and my buddies my best friend. if i loose or win i still ride home in a vette and have my 2 favorite people....well he picks up his car tomorow and i get mine tuned and dynoed on thursday ill post numbers and how we do when we race..

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT STATEMENT!! I was thinking that I was the only person on the forum that was bothered by that. I was beginning to think that I needed to write in broken English to be understood. I kind of thought it might of been because I am an "old guy" of 48. To each his own I guess.

No, Because it is a Corvette. It is a superior engineered platform in every respect, an actual (by definition) sports car, and finally coming from some one who owns both it is just better classier sled.
The TA IS good for putting miles on or jumping ditches in and great for the sexing.
As for C4 sexing, try taking the roof off first.
