Ok i have a 1984 corvette. Gave it a tune up fuel filter new fuel sending unit. Ok here is the issue when the car is idle it runs great. Hit the gas till i hit maybe 25mph then the car bogs down till the car say hits 15 then it takes off till it hits 25 any reason why this may happen? I cant figure this dam car out.
I would be willing to bet on its the cat. i've got an 84 and mine did the same thing. while its running feel if the exaust is running freely with your hand, maybe even check with a small rev. That big cat is right in the middle and is easily hit, causing a nasty shift of the insides. i punched mine and it was working perfectly, then emissions came to Austin, and i had to buy a full cat. Thats my best shot.

Didja have the problem before you fixed it?
I think its the fuel filter, it only works one way.
i had a fun time replacing my fuel filter and managed to put it on straight, still didnt correct mine when it was acting the same way. The made a nice little spot to put that filter, and it was a terrible pain.
My brother who is a mechanic does all my repairs. i know that everything was done correctly. Yes i had the problem before. He told me these crossfires can be a bit tricky it can be a told crap shoot till you find out the actual problem
You check out the cat yet? like i said, mine acted the same way, and thats what was to blame. i did the tune up as well and it didnt fix anything... class is almost started, so ill catch this thread later!
