Its true, I always get good remaks about my C4...

I like the pop up headlights
I hate the new vettes fixed headlights
Your Vette looks like Magnum P.Is car....
The C5 has a big butt
The C4 is very sleak

it looks like Magnums 308? Damn... there are a lot of morons out there.

I agree, there are some design cues, but that's about it.

I still believe the C4 is a much purer shape than the C5 or C6.

 

I once had a 65 conv,white ,I was young and it was fast 365-327-4 spd. Everyone loved it and it was hard to part with it.
I had an 82 , white,it was longer . slower, but very cool and very much a Vette. Everyone loved it too, people would honk their horns & give me a thumbs up as they passed.
Now I've got a 94 6 Spd ,coupe, Polo Green,It's a lot faster & nicer to drive, I think everybody , including me,is going to love it too
That's why I keep buying them.

 

Its been said many times that the C4 is a timeless design.
That means it will always look good.

 

 

The only place I have ever heard any negative about a C4 is rite here. I get nothing but compliments on my car where ever I hang out.
The fact is I like it but car people of all types appreciate the C4 also. The C4 is the first of the modern muscle cars.

 

C4's are probably one of the smallest more modern sports cars (American V8) and I love the tight fit of the seats. I mean sure later years have more comfy seats but so what. I like my car to rattle and make lots of noise.

 

I get a ton of compliments on my car, especially when I open the hood. That was the big problem with my nissan 300zx's nobody knew what they where. I got asked at LEAST 5 times what kind of porche I was driving. And once what kind of ferrari I was driving but oh well, it was nice surprising people with a 20 year old sports car.

 

It still amazes me when I tell a stranger that it's an '86 and they are surprised that it's older than 3 or 4 years old.
Gotta remember though.......these are people that appreciate a nice looking car, but don't know much about vettes. A previous poster mentioned "timeless". I think that word fits the C4 perfectly.

The C4 design really attracts with the clamshell up. Everyone wants to take a peek.

 

I was at a light last Saturday afternoon when a woman rolled down her window and complimented the car. Of course, she was in her 50's and driving a mini-van, but hey, it was female attention! (and no, she wasn't Stiffler's mom)

 

I occasionally get compliments on the '88...

Last Sat night, as I was driving N. on Atlantic Ave leaving the AC Hilton, a copla young guys in the car next to me at a traffic signal said "very cool car".

 

They are indeed beautiful cars.

 

I really enjoy my '94.It seems to me that the C4 is concidered
more of a old car and fits in at shows and the C5 is thought to
be more of a newer car. i think there is that gap between them.
Does this make any sence?

 

I've gotten a lot of positive comments on mine, I'm sure a lot of it stems from the amount of work I've put into it.

 

had a guy ask me the other day if mine was the new style Corvette...said no, it's 12 years old....his jaw just about bounced off the ground!!!!!!!!

 

it is good the c4 is finally getting the respect that it deserves. i hate the fact that some people think it is to "new" to be considered classic, and too old to be compared to current vettes. it is what it is, take it or leave it

 

Everyone appreciates a good clean vette of any year. It didn't take me long to find this out.

 

If mine gets this much attention, I only notice or hear about it once in a blue moon. That's OK with me.
