AC blowing out wrong vents
Well,
This sight has already paid off big time. I read the threads on the issue of AC blowing out floor and defrost but not front vents. I cut the rubber ends back off of the "Controller"? under the drivers side dash above the gas pedal and reinstalled. It seems to be working great. I would only recommend to some that is mechanically inclined. I'm over 200 pounds and it was _ _ _ _ !!! getting under there and taking it out. I kept thinking I'm going to get stuck and know one is around to help.
I know the first thing to check is the "vaccum lines near intake manifold on passenger side, mine were pulling vaccum and checked okay".
Should have saved the thread so I could remember the proper parts names. Sorry you will have to look up the threads like I did.

Check up about four threads "96 Vette". Its your controler under the dash on the drivers side. The soft rubber nipples got too old. Trim them back 1/2" and reconnect the vacuum lines. That should do it.
