Petit Le Mans 2007
Went to Road Atlanta this weekend, and had a great time. It was my first time seeing an ALMS race, and the C6Rs. Awesome cars, they are. They have this impressively guttural sound to them that I like to think it would sound like if Satan laughed. That in contrast to the surreally quiet Audis. Anyway, I've got some pictures posted here.
If you had a C4 parked in the Corvette Corral, I probably took a picture of it. Mine would've been there, but the paint shop got backed up. The truck was probably more comfortable to sleep in, anyway...
I was somewhat disappointed with the World Challenge GT race, though. It hardly went green and tended to be a fiasco when it was. I was sitting in the Esses and watched a number of cars pound the walls there.
Overall, going there was a good birthday present to myself, though (and it helped that I got a military discount: $60 for 2 days and infield parking!).

I love that track. I've been to two ALMS races there and was planning to go this year, but was unable to make the eight hour treck. Too bad for the #3 car. They've sure had some crappy luck this year...
You should head down to Sebring next year. Now that's a great race and a wild crowd...here's a little something you'll hopefully see next year.
