Yes I painted my flowmasters black with some hi temp paint and my factory mufflers black as well. They look fine no problems.

I painted my mufflers black with hi heat barbeque paint from rustoleum- seems to hold up fine. Clean them well first.

I painted my Flowmasters and cat back with Rust-O-Leum high-temp white for my 35th. Works well even after a 1k interstate trip.

Make sure to sand what needs to be painted. You will want a slightly rough surface for the paint to stick too. You can use a high temp paint from a autoparts store and use about 3-4 coats and a clear coat to finish. Make sure to let dry completely between coats.

Oh boy. Shameless pic-post thread. Yippee.

I used Duplicolor High Heat (1200 degree F) paint.
Needs to be cured at 300 degrees (I just ran the car up to operating temp, then shut it off). Holding up fine so far.
This paint is meant for headers, so it should stick on exhaust fairly well.

High temp clear? I have not seen that anyplace, I bet it looks good.

I also used Duplicolor High Heat to paint my flowmasters. I bought a can of Duplicolor High Heat Clear coat but haven't put it on yet.

I painted mine black with some High temp paint from Home Depot. I think the paint was made for grills. Be sure to clean the mufflers first. I used acetone to remove any dirt or oil. It turned out great.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I went with the "Bar-B-Q-Black" by Rust-Oleum Specialty High Heat. Cleaned mufflers real good and just used a spung brush, dried to a very light satan. Thanks again for the help.

I just used the nickel paint I got from Cor. Central. I used what was left over after painting my valve covers. Worked great.

Did my Borla's black years ago. Many coats of the grey primer (high heat engine) and then many coats of the gloss black (also high heat engine). It still looks good even though I just recently replaced them. I looked them over and aside from the paint chips from when I hit the ground by taking them on and off so many times, the paint is still in great shape. A good wipe down and they looked just as good as new and still glossy black.

I used one of the big two from the auto parts store, i forgot which brand though.

Regular aluminum rustolium paint. So far no problems but I only drive short trips of about 15 miles.
