When storing the Vette for the winter in the past have used a battery tender. This time will be unable to because it will be in a storage unit without electricity available. Question, if I remove the battery how much trouble will I have next spring with the electronics, radio, gauge's and etc.
Thanks

Interesting question.
I would think that no voltage is much better than low voltage for many electronic items, especially relays (of which our cars have many).
The worse thing (which isn't that bad) is that the ECM will forget its fuel-trim settings and take a couple of driving cycles to recalculate, which will just mean the car may not run smooth.
Other things may be radio stations, memory of keyfobs, again no big deal.
OR....you can get a small gadget that plugs into your cigar liter and has a simple 9V battery that will keep all your memory functions on board til you get your battery back in. You can get tham at most AutoZone and other accessory places...............
I replaced my battery this past spring, and other than resetting my radio stations, I didnt have any issues. I would shut the radio off, so when you reconnect, the antenna stays down, not that thats a big issue.
I store mine in a unit with no electricity as well, I just start my car once a month and run it for about 20 mins. or so. I've never had any problems with the exception of last winter when I didn't start it at all and the battery was dead in the spring .
Question, if I remove the battery how much trouble will I have next spring with the electronics, radio, gauge's and etc. Thanks
shouldn't be any aside from doing re-sets, and the ecm will relearn on it's own. To bad you have to do it that way, doing the fender, battery hold down etc. will be extra work.

They will last about 30 minutes before the battery dies. They are intended for maintenance tasks like battery replacement or any work where the battery cables must be disconnected for safety's sake.
Removal of the battery will be the best bet. Keep the battery stores in a location where it won't freeze; garge, storeroom etc. Sitting for three or four months disconnected should not bring the charge down so that it will not start the car when re-installed. Just fully charge the battery after removal and you will be OK.
