Hey guys im new to posting in this thread and have come across many opinions on rims. I found this website today that makes C6 style rims for the C4 generation (http://www.lakeshorewheelandtire.com/specials/c6.shtml) I'm looking at buying the 52531D-c,38 which are 18" x 9.5 38mm Offset. My question is will these work without spacers because if i remember correctly the stock offset is 32mm. does anyone have these rims on their C4? discuss please.

38mm Offset Wheels are for early C4's, 84-87. IMHO, 18" wheels look very stupid on a C4.
Actually i like your rims where did u get them and will they bolt right up?
I got them in an eBay Auction from FactoryReproductions.com. Visit their website, send them an email or call them. Tell them you want 38mm Offset 17" (9.5) Chrome ZR-1 Wheels for the 84-87 Corvette. They should be able to hook you up. Although their website does not list the 84-87 Corvette, they do have wheels for it. I paid $589 for the wheels. 18" Wheels just don't look right on a C4. And yes, they are direct fit - no adapters needed. As for tires, I put 245/40's on.

18's are great if you ever plan on installing a BIG brake upgrade, other wise 17's do "tend" to look the best. Keeping the rolling mass smaller is usually better for performance for a stock car as well.

What are you talk'n about??? I get tons of complements on these 18s!!! 19s are a bit much for a C4, but the 18s in my eyes are PERFECT.
18's with a lip look fine. But the 18's where the spokes go right out to the edge (a la C6) look waaaaaay too big for the wheelwells. rpm94's look amazing!

My husband came home with a really interesting and fun web site for looking at wheels...it's interactive and allows you to *see* the wheels on your car...the '88s and newer.
