Default Help identifying parts

So, in my quest to repair my 93 from a crash, I have ended up acquiring some extra parts. I found that when I bought from CF members, I always got what I needed, but when I went with Craigslist, weeeeelllllllll......let's just say it was an adventure.

The long and short of it is that I have two hoods that don't fit my car, three or four spare headlights, a couple of headlight brackets, even a main section where the bumper bolts on. I wouldn't mind trading these or selling them, but my problem is that all I really know about them is that they are NOT for a 93. I posted up a pic of one of the hoods in the past, and some folks eyeballed it and guessed the year as 87 or thereabouts, but does anyone know a sure-fire way? I can't feel good about trading this stuff unless I know for sure it's what folks here need.

So how do I correctly identify the above gear? Any C4 guru's know the secrets? Or am I just going to have to take some pretty careful photos and hope someone can match it up for me?

(chuckle) Well, I think that is a pretty clear answer. Will get some pics up soon and see if that helps.

Any C4 hood should work, except '84. '85-'96 use the same hood. Why do you say yours didnt fit right?

I think from the last time this was discussed the concensus was the later hoods will fit the earlier cars but not the other way round. From the pix we all posted the '87 is definately different from the '93.If anyone wants to post a later hood compare it with my '87.

It contacted at the alternator and the computer module. I keep hearing people say 85-96, but I ALSO hear people say 92-96. Seems to be some disagreement in the community as to which, but I can promise I have two hoods in my garage that do not fit. I really wish there was a way to check some numbers on a hood and find out what year model it is for. (sigh)
