Octane booster.
Anyone running an Octane booster in California? I can only get 91 here and would like to have 92 to run the Hypertech tune.

im not in cali but i dont think it would be too cheap to run on octane boosters all the time. And what if you cant get ahold of an octane booster before a fill up? is it an octane booster every 3000 miles? or every other fill up or something? wouldnt the booster wear off after a while which would make your car run rough without it?

Don't waste your money on octane booster.
They are all crap.
You need an octane ADDITIVE.
I run TORCO Mach Accelerator unleaded to mix up 100 -104 octane.
Instructions on side of can.
They will ship UPS Ground.
Find a dealer near you.

Yea, i agree. The things you buy at like autozone only add a small percent of what you think they do. It doesnt really raise octane by points.

Go to the paint section of Lowes or Home Depot or a Commercial painters supply store like a Sherwin Williams
Buy some Xylene... it has an octane rating of 117.
Octane is a weighted average calculation
(A gallons x octane 1 + B gallons x octane 2) / A+B = blended octane
example calculation
(15 gallons 91 octane + 1 gallon 117 octane )/16 gallons = 92.6 octane
