The go-kart feel in the turns.
The looks and body style. They look newer than they are.
The seats are very comfortable.
The price.
The clam shell.

I first fell in love with corvettes when I got the chance to drive a 6spd C5. It was sweet, but brand new. Recently I look into getting a 1999 C5for $24K with next to no miles and in perfect shape. Then I drove that one. Every piece of plastic popped, the seat shifted under me (I am a light weight too) and it just felt too refined and smooth. It just didn't have that "HANG ON, HERE WE GO!" feel to it. Well then I found a 1990, dark green, with a 6spd and a new engine for $6K. Needless to say, that is what I own now.

Hey, just another C5 owner highly interested in adding a C4. Just wanted to say that the C5 does have reverse opening hood, we just don't have the cool clamshell hood.

I love my C4 to death, but one of the things that I like to point out as a big advantage of it, at least to me is its cost. Before working on my C4 I had not done a lot of work on cars. Because my C4 is inexpensive comparatively I'm not afraid to tinker around with it. A lot of my buddies running the newer corvettes are a bit paranoid about working on their cars. I know they're smart enough and talented enough to do it, but when your car is worth 30k the risk of messing something up on it is a lot scarier then when your car is worth 5-10k.

The styling of the C4 is still as exciting as it was in 1984. I love my '93. Pull up in a service station and pop the clamshell to check the oil. You're bound to have a couple of onlookers.

My fiance's C6 battery died multiple times, but that car's still a lot of fun.

But about my ZR-1, I love having a 17 year old classic that'll still mop the floor with just about everything on the road!

Also, I know that a lot of people aren't going to agree with me, but I liked the '84-'89 Knight Rider dash. I used to have an '88 35th Anniversary and my dad's got a spotless 1984 coupe and I thought that digital dash kicked ***. BUT, I never had one go out on me though....

Pop up Headlights- None on C6s
We can open the door with a Key- Not on C6s
Less Battery problems- more on C5 and C6s
No column lock problems
C4s have clam sheel hood- not on C5s and C6s
We can start the Vette with a key- not on C6s
No blind spots- C5s have it..
We can put gas in on either side of the vette- not on C5s/C6s
Most C4s have regular tires- all C5s and C6s runflats ,more money
As a former owner of 3 c4's-89-90-95
I can tell you my FAVORITE VETTES,next to my current c6-WERE these 3 cars!Of those my 89 because of it's digital-spacecraft dash stuff-my 95 because of the BLACK/RED COLOR COMBO and the SUPERCHARGER I put in it! I can tell you guys I really was never comfortable in my 01 c5.It was just to big and the seats sucked! Now,as for the c6..well,it is everything my c4's were and more.Push the button, she fires right up.I wasn't sure about the no pop up headlight thing, but fellas, when I sat in this thing the first night and the PROJECTOR BEAMS,I like to call them,CAME ON-it was SPECTACULAR!They just sort of pop on!The whole damn garage door was lit up-half way!!!!!The light just seems to cut off half way up so as not to waste any lighting on things I won't need to see!! The power is phenomenal! All there, all the time!5000 worth of mods in the 01 c5 is what it took to feel like the c6 out of the box!ALAS,My heart is still with my 95,though! There is a key hole for the c6's to get in with if needed, though it's not visible. There have been some issues with these cars, but the majority of us have trouble free beasts on our hands!! Oh,and the top comes off in about 3 seconds, goes on a like 5 seconds.I do not miss that from my c4 days!lol
