Where is the HVAC Programmer?

Where is the HVAC Programmer?
I have heard alot of talk about the HVAC programmer board that can go bad and cause problems with the unit. the trouble is, I cant find it. Can someone tell me where it is?

Under the dash, just above the accelerator pedal. It's a black box about 8x6x2. If you remove the knee bolster it's easy to see. Just checked your profile, I'm not sure the '89 has one.

Yes, the '89 with climate control has one. Make sure to tag all of the hoses and ports. The colors don't all match. If you plug the hoses in by color, then the defrost or floor vents might get mixed up with the front vents. Ask me how I know.
