Default What should I do first?

My car needs a lot of work cause the last owner hurt it! :smash:

She needs:
New carpet
New leather
New paint
New weatherstriping
Refinish wheels
New shocks
Blose won't work
Scratches in front 3 windows (only one is bad)
More HP! :D

I'm gonna get new shocks and am looking at the HAL, where is the best price for them? Thinking of the carpet and seats next. Can I only get OEM carpet and leather, or does someone else offer higher grade carpet and leather?

Yup...paint last!

First step i'd suggest is mechanical.
Second would be suspenstion.
Third...interior or windows
FINALLY paint.

At least that's the order that it made sence for us to procede on "Project '79".

As long as nothing mechanically is wrong, work inside out. Do the interior stuff and engine stuff first. Paint and weather strip last. I would get your sterio and carpet together and do that as you will have the best wire routing opportunity when your replace the carpet. Then do the seats. Then the paint and weather strip at the same time. Then last the wheels. The shocks should be done first if they are mechanically shot. Safety first. My next project is the brake upgrade. Then comes the performance stuff.

Shocks first. That effects performance and tire wear.
Wheels it doesn't really matter.
The rest is kind of iffy.

You would want to do your weatherstripping before the interior if it leaked. Normally you would save paint for last, but you wouldn't want to take the chance you might have overspray on the new weatherstripping and it would make sense to have the old removed, the car painted and the new put on.
