Can anyone tell me how I can remove the invisible target from my car? I just bought it in August and have been "bumped" 3 times since. I ALWAYS park away from EVERYONE and inevitably still end up with "mystery wounds". Why are people so freakin' ignorant? I actually had a woman hit my car, claim she didn't do it, yet has my white paint on her bumper. Then of all things, calls my insurance cvompany and said I hit her !! My car was sitting unmoved for four HOURS. I was blown away at the nerve. I am getting afraid to leave it for more than two minutes. Movie theater? Forget it. Club parking? Forget it. I am now limiting my driving to street meets and parks. It's a shame I can't enjoy taking my car somewhere without some jack-butt messing it up. Whew, I feel better already. Thanx. :reddevil :mad :boxing :smash: :) :yesnod:
That sux.. that's how I felf about my blazer.. aparently people seem to have respect for my vette now. I haven't seen a single ding or dent or scratch. (of course I just jinxed myself    )
I have the same feeling. Why do people have to tailgate, pull out in front of, aim at ya from every direction? When I drive my ford they don't do that.
The only thing I can figure is I notice it more, but don't give a darn in the escort.
Last night coming home from work I had a guy driving a cadillac pulling a trailer tailgate me for miles in heavy traffic and all he and his wife could do was fiddle with something on the dashboard and pay no attention to what was going on outside of their car. :mad
i park in my university's parking lot, and i have just decided in a few years, when it bugs me, i will repaint the fargin car. i have damage mostly from ford explorers and such, damn suvs. Fargin inconsiderate people no respect for prooerty
Some people just SUCK :mad :mad I hate f'in tailgaters, and I would give 'em a brake check but we all know we have better brakes and we'll end up with their hood halfway into out bumpers.. Course they'd probably then blame the accident on me  I even got rear ended AT A RED LIGHT. How do you not see a Torch Red Corvette in front of you? :cry
I always do the same thing with tailgaters and it seems to work so far. I just gradually slow down until I'm doing half the speed limit, and they will either back off or pass you. If they don't, accelerate back up to the speed limit again (you will now have a gap) - if they tailgate you again, repeat the process.
As for people who pull out on you, I don't understand why they do it, maybe they asscociate all sports cars with Porsches, so they dont expect you to be going very fast :) - or perhaps they are just ignorant. But if I see a car at an intersection or driveway I ALWAYS assume it's gonna pul out in front of me - about 50% of the time, they don't.
When I'm stopped at the lights and I see someone coming up fast behind, I try and establish eye contact thru the rearview, if I can't do that I honk the horn to make sure they know I'm there - this has saved me at least once!
