Default Door Panel Replacement?

I have an 84 Corvette and the door panels are in real bad shape. Anyone know where I can order deluxe door panels the cheapest?

Also, is it hard to change them yourself? Or should I seek a professional?

They are easy - check out all the usual places and compare prices - Mid America, Corvette Central, Corvette America, Eckler's - all of course have websites - so checking prices won't take you long. There are more of course that can be added to the list and I am sure others will do so. Also I believe the early C4 panels are fairly inexpensive compared to the later years - I was thinking about replacing my passenger door panel on my 95 until I got a gander at the price - the three ribs on the back of my panel are sprung but I saw a post once that said that some had luck bonding the ribs back together so that is my winter project (or I should say, one of them)

To get both of them replaced, your looking at about 700 dollars.

The 84 thru 89 door panels are easy to remove and install.......if you have a little patience! There are many postings on this topic and these can be found thru the search feature. If you want more details, send me an email or PM.

Bought mine at Wilcox. They sell them on ebay, and will match their ebay price if you contact them. If you need armrests it's more, that's the "deluxe" panel. I just needed a panel and the top trim piece about $370 for one panel. I had a body shop guy do it since I could just leave the car and he did it in his free time, but I've been into it a little and looks pretty easy. Scariest part would be cutting a hole for the speaker. That would make me nervous.

I was looking around for them a few weeks ago and Wilcox was the cheapest at the time. WW

Mid America: 1984-89 LH or RH = $269.99 - Mid America calls their panels "Reproduction"

Corvette America: Standard Door Panels: $299.99
Corvette America: Deluxe Door Panels: $449.99

Corvette Central same prices as Corvette America.

Al Knoch: $509.00

Eckler's: $449.99

Zip: Standard Door Panel - $299.95

**** Appears that all these "Standard Door Panels" come with no Armrests which will run Approximately $120.00 more per door. *****

Wilcox: $206.99 (I would call and check this very carefully, to see exactly what you get, the Wilcox site is very limited on discription).

I installed mine myself. Take your time, feel your way thru it, you should have no problem.

Thanks for all the help. I want deluxe, my arm rests are in really bad shape. Will I need to cut my own speaker hole?

Yes, I had to cut speaker holes in the standard panals.
Easy, trace the square, drill holes in the corners and use a jig saw for the rest.
