tonight a 5 gallon paint bucket smashed into my passenger side front while i was doing 80 down the highway. The can hit 4 cars total....I tried to dodge but no good . It didn't dent anything but it cracked the paint a bit. .... I am glad it wasn't worse. I already buffed the scuff marks out...but it looks like the fiberglass is peeling away as there is strings coming off....It really doesn't look to bad after I buffed on it a while. I am going to see how much to repair it on Monday..... But I am glad it wasnt worse. I caught up to the guy whose trick it fell out of and he had stuff (not even tied off) stacked about two feet above the cab!!!
 :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad Anyway, I am relieved that it wasn't alot worse. It hit the Tahoe in front of me then bounced and hit a minivan, then it was coming straight for my windshield...I slammed on my brakes and swerved and it hit the front passenger side. Then it bounced and hit a riced out acura integra on his drivers side door....I love fiberglass...I bet they were dented up pretty bad! That guy that lost the paint can really pissed me off!!!
Did you get the license number of that truck? Some states have laws requiring that loads be either tied down or a tarp/cover be placed over the load.
I would get a repair estimate at a body shop and then file an accident report with the local jurisdiction. If the truck owner has insurance, it should cover your repairs.
The chances are that repairs to all those vehicles will cost a mint. The police could be interested in this, especially if that truck didn't stop at the scene.
