Im not sure cause there is a road on the other side of the image. It looks to me that its a highway and the grass is the middle. So vette looks to have crossed over.

I catch flak pretty frequently at work and amongst friends because of how I take care of my car. A guy at my church was mad that I bought a Corvette rather that giving my money to help the poor (his $2500+ guitar didn't bother him though). My dad being a former Corvette owner understands my obsession over keeping my car clean. My mom, she just laughs, but I know she understands it also.

I may get flamed for this, but I have to say, some of the flak is deserved for some corvette owners. I have seen and talked to some vette owners who believe the vette is the best car period, and they look down on other cars. I have seen vette owners speak with authority about how fast the car is, simply because its a vette and have no idea that there are mustangs, and even some Honda's etc, that are faster. (modified) Usually these vette owner's have never been to a track, much less even raced. They just speak out of ignorance and arrogance.
Dont get me wrong, the vette is my favorite car, heck, I have 2 of them now. But I like other cars as well, not just vettes. And I know there are faster cars out there including some honda's.

Only at work. During the driving months, I'll go out during lunch and hit with spray detailer and wipe her down. One time, during the spring pollen weeks, I went out with my california duster and was wiping off the pollen (pointless battle) and some lady walked up to me and said "are you actually dusting your car?" I said "yep, and I see nothing wrong with having a little pride in ownership." I never even looked up at her and kept on dusting.

All the time. I have a friend who bought a 2007 Mustang Salleen that's pushing 600 hp. He runs in the 12's. He likes to bust my .... chops. On autocross the exotic import owners like to take their licks. It comes with the turf.

The only people that understand how I feel about my car are my two best friends. Everyone else gives me crap about it, especially my parents.

Check out the suspension on the left front and rear wheels in the picture. That only happens with the shocks and springs under HEAVY load like a jeep grand cheroke sitting on top. Don't know if this was an actual incident or staged but the vette is definantly under a heavy load!

And yes I have been questioned about the time I spend with the up-keep of my vette also. I give the answer that if they owned something they really enjoyed they to would take extra care of it.
