Discount Tire Direct has some reasonable prices on Replica Alloys. Is anyone familiar with this brand and are they any good? I'm looking at the chrome z06 or zr1 for my '89 coupe. They also carry the Falken ZE-512 tires. Are they any good?

Try forum vendor 'House of Wheels'. I bought a set of Z06 chrome replicas for my C6. His price was right and he sells 'Factory Reproduction' brand, which are a quality wheel.

Wheels may be fine but stay away from the Falken tire you mentioned. I had them, not a great tire. I have Maxxis now and they are working great as an All-Season tire. Falken ZE512 is crap.
I bought my Z06 replicas from Tomz Wheels. They are made by O.E. concepts. I've had them two years now without any problems. I paid $400 for the set delivered to my door.
I just bought a set of zr-1 wheels for my 86. They did not have the right off-set, but got them from their ware house. I got a good deal from them, and a better customer service than the others offered. The others said they didn't have them in stock and said "good-by, have a nice day". I will go back to Tomz!!
All the ZR1 clones are made by either AFS or Factory reproductions or OE concepts and I don't believe any of them are made on this continent. You can buy directly from any of them but that doesn't mean you're getting the best price. You have to plough though all the dealers and see what they are charging. The best deals I have found are from www.performanceplustires.com. The 36mm's are getting hard to find but I know ,although they have stopped advertising them, that AFS has them all in stock.Call them directly and they will help you out if no one else has them.
Thanks for all the info, guys. I just ordered a set of chrome zr1 wheels and Sumimoto htrz2 tires from Tomzwheels. I should have them on my car in a week or so. Can't wait!
