Default Abreviations???

Hi guys.

I'm realtively new to the forum and to C-4 ownership. I hate to sound stupid and I don't want to offend but I have a question.

Is there anywhere on the forum where the abreviations you guys use are spelled out? I am trying to follow threads and learn about C-4s from you guys but There are so many abreviations used that I can't figure out some of them. I finally figured out what FSM, ECM and ICM were but that has taken me since I joined and, the only reason is that I had a bad ignition control module and I had to figure out myself what the problem was.

Anyway, I'd really like to know what all of the abreviations used are before I get so frustrated that I stop reading the posts.

Thanks.

Norm.

The best source of such info might be the FSM by HELM for your year Vette.

Check out page two here for some of the common ones, but like others have said just ask when necessary.

Huh? Ask Hotrod90 about body kits.

What I do is go to google and search for the abbreviation or term, find it in another context. Usually you can find some good information that way.
Also use the search function of the forum. Finding the stuff in context reinforces better than a list of abbreviations.

Responses in order of the posts:

65Z01 - Thanks. I have an FSM on order.

toptechx6 - Your referrals were exactly what I was looking for. Thanks they help a lot.

On a slightly different subject - I'm sure glad I found this forum. I have already learned a good deal about the C-4 from reading the posts and hope to learn a lot more between the posts and the Factory Service Manual. I hope the day comes when I can contribute back to the forum more than I have taken from it.

Thanks.

Norm.

Hey a lot of us are in the same boat. While I've been helping my dad with his 84's general upkeep since I was a kid, I just bought a ZR-1 and that's a whole new can of worms.

This site's a great tool... Well, other than the LS1-LT4 discussion/wrestling match!
