Teflon washer question

Default Teflon washer question

Does running without that teflon washer harm anyting? Is that ka-ching noise bad?

you mean on your oip pan drain plug. only if you dont mind a drip of oil under your plug

No, sorry, I mean in the rear axle shafts

I just put new ones in my '85 and it went at least 2 years without them. It had some marks on the stub but you couldn't catch a fingernail on them. I doubt if it will hurt to go without but now my car goes in to gear silently instead of the loud clunking noises so it was worth it to me to replace them.
