Default Front bumper cover modification?

The top part of the bumber is losing it's clearcoat. It needs some new paint so while I'm at it, I'm thinking about giving it a touch of Callaway. Gonna try to get a quote on it after thanksgiving. Whatcha think?

I think I like it better with out. A molded front spoiler with brake ducts may look good. Nice ride by the way.

I love the way this looks...especially on your all-black car. If you can pull it off -- seemlessly -- I say go for it. Always cool to see something a little different.

If the cover were fiberglass or something other than the stock urethane, then it could turn out very well. However, the urethane needs structure at every cut or else it will curl up like wet paper around each hole. Urethane needs tension to keep itself in shape.

I like it but as mentioned, you'll need to either reinforce the urethane around the mod cuts or use the fibreglass bumper.

Incorporate that with the other suggestion of a brake ducted front spoiler and WOW!

Well I have a guy that molded a C6 ZO-6 bumper intake to a standard C6 bumper and looked great. I still have to show him what I've got planned. I'm just afraid it will cost more than what it's worth to do. Will also try to see if I can have a box built behind the holes down to the top of the air intake and see if I can steal some of that fresh air for my cut lid.

If you do get it to work, please post how it went and the price. Goodluck.

Im wondering if you didnt have the two outside ducts but took the two inners and cut them so they are one larger one if that wouldnt make a good inlet for a ram air inlet. Hmmmm...

Anyone good with photochop?

If those cutouts were a functional air intake I would worry alot about them becomming a rain water intake.

I tried it. By just doing the two inner ones, the car looks just like knight rider...and I'm not having that. Combining the two outer ones looked weird too. Looks like Callaway knew what they were doing.

That looks slick, may be a project for down the road. Ill get flamed for this but I think the 4 holes in the front looks like puke, too busy for me.
Thanks Rick.
