Default automatic shifters

Hi all I have a 96 CE and want a aftermarket shifter so I'm trying to find out the difference in the shifter between say a turbo 400 or a 700R4 and say a
4L60, and 4L60E they are all cable shifters as far as I can tell.
So with some modification I should be able to use a shifter from a turbo 350 or a 400 right?
I mean as long as it is a 4 speed automatic shifter.
I may have to change some mount points or things like that but the mechanics should be the same right?
thanks
Clay

Since all shift points are PCM controlled on your 4L60E transmission I am not sure what you are trying to achieve. If you want to change shift points then either get the PCM custom tuned or get a Hypertech power programer.
