I've had my '93 over 5 years, and just yesterday morning I discovered that there is a small red light on the bottom side of the mirror that stays on whenever the lights are on. Jeez, I guess that it's time I read the owner's manual to find out what other little gizmos I have.

Doesn't your car also have a storage compartment in the armrests?

Push the Eng Met button twice, then the Trip Reset 3 three times followed by and holding the right and left arrow for the Automatic Control fan speed. This will give you the rocket launchers!

I had my 90 for three years before I noticed that light from the rear view mirror! :o
I think that it is more of an Amber/Orange Light on the underside of the Rearview Mirror, just like the Amber light on the door panel lights. When I was in the Limo Business, we called it Pimp Lighting! They throw enough light to see the shift console, but not enough light to impeede seeing outside of the car at night.
