96 HVAC System Fixed!!!!
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1872601
I took the advice of other forum members and just cut the rubber nipples back about 3 - 4 mm (flush with the nut on the programmer). The result is fantastic!! I should have done this in spring when I purchased the car. Now it only takes 2 - 3 seconds, yes I even timed it, to switch from vent to defrost to floor!!
The fix did not cost a dime. It only cost some time and frustration. I only had one Corvette delirium moment, you know, one of those times when you are so frustrated about the lack of space in the floor wells and you actually consider taking a cutting torch to the frame rails or transmission tunnel to make room to work in.
Really that was the biggest problem was workspace and for anyone that wants to take this on, you WILL need to remove the seats and rails. Thanks for all of the advice!!
