On my 1994 lt-1 there are 2 one for the digital read out and the other for the needle gauge. The sensor for the needle gauge is on the passenger side head between #6 and #8 spark plugs. Mine sat on the needle and would not move until I replaced it. My digital one has allways worked fine though and I think the sensor for it is around the water pump.
A interesting note is that the new sensor on the needle gauge shows way hotter than the digital one. I read somewhere (in this forum) that the parts store sensors are not very accurate and there are places to get super precise sending units.
