In the FAQ, Dul-cote is identified as the finish used on interior plastic surfaces starting in '91; I looked at quite a few 'vettes in my search, and many showed wear through this coating to the shiny plastic underneath.
The '94 I just purchased has this problem on the front part of the center console near the shift lever . Is there any product out there that I can use to refinish this piece, or do I have to find a replacement?

I bought a can of black satin finish at Walmart and it worked fine. Someone had the dash trim out when they badly installed an aftermarket radio. When they put the screws back in they broke all the holes (overtightened). I first superglued the pieces around the screws before I removed them. Then. I removed the 2 trim pieces. I had some short strand fiberglass that I used to smooth out the glued holes, sanded them with 1500 grit until smooth and then painted them with the black satin paint from Walmart after I redrilled the holes with my bench drill. Worked great....jim
Do an archive search on the C4 Tech/Perf forum for Plast-Coat. There is a good post there that discusses this exact issue.
There was also a post (Which I can't find now) from a gentleman who used a product called Plasti-Dip and said it worked great. What he did was dilute the black Plasti-Dip so that he could spray it through an air brush but I see that Plasti-Dip also comes in spray cans.

Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone - I appreciate the great feedeback. I think I'm going to enjoy this Forum! After searching the Tech Forum, I found a link to a Tech Note on how to refinish plastic parts at: https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...=114&TopicID=2
Getting all the required items will probably cost me more than the piece from thepartslady, not to mention the labor, but there are other pieces that I should also refinish ...
