headlights low beam?

headlights low beam?
My low beams are very dim,I was checking voltage to headlight plug,lightswitch and high beam switch. Put everything back together and now my low beam lights will not come on,only have interior lights and they blink but when I switch to high beams they come on.What has happened??? 1994 corvette

I have an 87 and I doubt 94 headlight switch wiring is any different. The headlight switch switches power to the interior lights and the headlights. Your symptoms sound like a defective headlight dimmer switch. The headlight switch supplies power to the dimmer switch which in turn selects either the high beam filament or the low beam filament in each headlamp, assuming the low beam filaments are ok.

Also recheck your connections. It's easy to knock off the wire in the headlight pigtail if you are playing with it. Reconnect everything again and check your grounds. Also, when I was having problems with my low beams, I replaced the battery and that fixed it. Couple things to look at.
Could be what was said above, too, and be a relay or the switch is bad - good luck.
