OK, 92 coupe. Sometimes I have orange lights in the passenger door and one from under the rear view mirror. Sometimes... Is there supposed to be one in the drivers door too. Any idea were to start trouble shooting a light that works sometimes and other times not? The one in the mirror is there 20% of the time, the passenger door 50% and never one in the drivers door. And it doesn't seem to be switch related or a bang on the mirror and it works/ doesn't work type thing...
There should be an orange light in both doors. Maybe a burned out bulb or bad connector or wire.
The door and mirror lights should be on when the headlamps are on. If it's intermittent, it may be the same type of problem; loose wire or bulb not seated in the holder.

I get the white interior light in both doors but only the orange in the passenger, are they different bulbs? I rarely drive at night so I really don't notice this...
Yes they are little micro bulbs and only work when the headlights are on. You should also have a convenience group micro bulb under the mirror (as you stated) and your seat switches in the console, shift dial (if its an auto) and headlight switch and AC/Radio Controls should also be illuminated in orange. Not to mention your power window switch, mirror control switch and power lock switches on both door panels as applicable. If the bulbs are fine check both the INST fuses in your main fuse panel on the passenger side next to the door and in the Aux Fuse block #2 under the passenger side hush panel. If the blub and fuses are both fine you have a short in the system between those two INST fuses and the incandlesent light heat sink module that is located behind your instrument panel ontop of the steering wheel.
