hear in central n.j. it was sunny and dry, so i thought i would take the corvette for a little exercise. i stopped at the local wawa for a coffee. when i went to leave the parking lot, a 85 year old man driving a olds backed into the passenger side door. the noise was deafening. i didnt want to get and look but when i did it was only a small crack in the door. approx. 6 inches. the old man was so upset over hitting my car i just couldnt get mad. at least no one was hurt. for now it will be off to the body shop for repairs. hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday.
Sorry to hear that.
I hate leaving my car in a parking lot for that reason.
But it is a car and you have to leave them somewhere.
Good luck on the repair.
Great attitude John. You handled that like an adult. You always have to cut seniors a little slack. They do the best they can. I will be the one that puts a dent in mine. My body won't turn far enough to see out when backing and I am just middle aged (64). Later! Frank
Sorry your car is hurt, but glad no people were hurt. Thanks for not berating the old guy. My Dad drove until he was 87, and probably shouldn't have driven that long. Perhaps a thread will start on what age we expect to be when we quit our C4's
Good for you. Weird, maybe, but I think someone who has reached 85 is allowed a lot of slack. If the state lets him drive, there you go. You handled this like a pro.
Sorry about the damage to your Vette but like the others congratulate you for your great outlook on life, you represent the true spirit of Christmas, what a classy guy.
was it expensive to get the crack repaired? i`ve recently bought a vette with a few little ones that i would like sorted but haven`t got a quote done yet.

Do the Math; an 85 year old man was 18-20 during WWII. That little old man was part of one of this nations proudest generations. I can't but feel overcome with respect for those guys.
